PUBLIC POLICIES TO PREVENT AND COMBAT UNFAIR INEQUALITIES
AN AXIS OF APPROACH FROM THE WORK “GLORIA UNCERTA”

Objectives: To present a script of themes and comments for reading this work, highlighting Sen's understanding of public policies, some strategic themes for their simplified and more comprehensive and, at times, well-defined understanding, prioritizing themes that contribute to the preventing and overcoming unfair inequalities and, given their interdependence, improve democracy and participation and decision-making processes. Evaluate public policies in complex, unequal contexts in need of solutions that humanize democratically constructed human, social and environmental relations.
Methodology: The methodology used in the work was carried out using the deductive method based on a literature review.
Results: The legitimacy of public policies is related to several references that attest to their need, implementation conditions and final results. “Uncertain glory: India and its contradictions” is an important reference analysis for the This approach aims to present the work with its strategic (symbolic) themes that contribute to the solution of unfair inequalities.
Contributions: An updated understanding of public policies guides the overcoming of serious social problems with a view to social equity. The mission of the State and the role of other social actors is cooperation, where transparency and public debate are essential for the effective participation of everyone in decisions.
