Valuation is a technique widely used by professionals with the purpose of reducing subjectivity in their decision-making. Due to the significant academic rise of the subject, it has become of fundamental importance to carry out a bibliometric analysis to understand, in a comprehensive way, the evolution of scientific research involving the subject in the last eight years and to identify the most important points to be studied and developed. Information was extracted from the Scopus database. It was analyzed using the software VOS Viewer, R Studio with the Bibliometrix package and its Biblioshiny extension. The objective was to present an overview of the structure of knowledge, highlighting the most relevant sources, performing an analysis of authorship and co-authorship, meeting the premises of Lotka's Law, in addition to showing the h-index of the author's impact, the scientific productivity of the countries and social structure of publications through the map of productivity and scientific collaboration of countries, word cloud, and factor analysis. The results allow us to conclude, through a co-authorship analysis, that there are twelve different clusters of studies on valuation. It was demonstrated which articles and terms currently have a higher degree of relevance on which content analysis is suggested in future works.
