Abstract

An analysis is presented regarding the similarities and differences between Federal Law 13.663/2018 and the teacher training policy at the Federal Institute Farroupilha – RS. The analysis was conducted through a case study with document analysis using a mixed (quantitative-qualitative) approach, considering internal documents and the Pedagogical Political Projects of the institution's undergraduate courses. This material was processed using methodological procedures of Content Analysis. Although the institution demonstrates alignment with Restorative Practices, Nonviolent Communication, and a Culture of Peace through an exclusive Committee and an Institutional Policy, there are few moments when future teachers trained by the institution engage with these themes or with Human Rights topics.
