Abstract

This study aimed to compare simulators for ophthalmic surgery training, focusing on the functional aspects of each brand. The research was conducted by collecting information about each simulator through technical documentation and supplier websites, which were synthesized into a table highlighting the main points of each brand. The results showed that the analyzed simulators exhibit considerable variability in terms of realism and the range of procedures that can be simulated. Based on these findings, it was concluded that the choice of the appropriate simulator should consider factors such as the surgeon’s level of experience, the type of procedure to be simulated, and budgetary constraints.
