In recent years, the search for orthodontic treatment by adult patients has increased. However, pain and discomfort during treatment can impact quality of life and discourage continuation. The objective of this work was to report the experience of humanized and multidisciplinary care, provided by students and teachers, to a patient treated in the Specialization course in Orthodontics at Centro Universitário Christus. Patient L. S. N., 49 years old, female, normosystemic, had a Class II malocclusion, according to clinical diagnosis and cephalometric analysis. For his orthodontic treatment, he reported that he did not want to use fixed braces. Therefore, orthodontic treatment with an invisible aligner, of the Invisalign® type, was chosen, associated with the use of skeletal anchorage with mini-implants, elastics and accessories. During the monthly maintenance consultation, in May 2023, the patient reported intense discomfort, especially in the regions of the mini-implants and elastic support sites, which made her consider giving up the treatment. To offer a humanized treatment in response to the patient's complaints, and in an attempt to minimize them, some non-drug therapies were carried out, such as: placing flow-type resins in orthodontic accessories and applying laser therapy, which proved to be fundamental in the acceptance of the device and to complete the proposed treatment.
