Abstract

The interest in studying how abusive relationships are permeated by gender occurred through contact with facts from social reality, whether in discussion about feminicide, or in constant reports of women who were victims of aggression by the partner. Thus, our study proposal aims to analyze how abusive relationships are permeated by gender. In an attempt to outline the proposal, a narrative literature review was carried out, considering that it allows access to material already produced and analyzed from a scientific aspect, also enabling a multiplicity of sources. As a result, we understand that historically constructed modes of socialization end up naturalizing modes of violence, assigning men and women certain social places, sustaining themselves through gender inequality, validating their manifestations. It is concluded that socialized in a culture that places women in a disadvantaged place, men do not recognize themselves as aggressors, but rather attribute responsibility for their actions to them.
